Shared colocation racks in Toronto data center facility

Power Infrastructure

Diesel powered generators allow our facility to be independant of the local power grid to guarantee uptime. Our on-site generators and uninterruptible power systems (UPS) provide redundancy in our power subsystem to ensure uninterrupted operation to all services.

The 2N infrastructure ensures that a true A and B feed are available at all times, and multiple redundancies within each level guarantee that there is no single point of failure within any of the A or B subsystems.

One important feature of the Toronto North facility is that it has been designed for high density computing. There is no limit to the amount of power that can be delivered to a single cabinet. Data Centers Canada has designed the facility so that racks can be provisioned with 10kW+ draws today.

As part of our green initiatives, Data Centers Canada only utilizes Bio-Diesel for it's generation fuel, and ensures that all lubricants and filters are disposed of with the best methods available to ensure that pollutants do not contaminate our envionment.

The local power utility to our Toronto Data Center Colocation facility is Power Stream. This is the 2nd largest utility in Ontario Canada.
Square D products are utilized through out the entire power subsystem. Panels, PDU, Breakers and much more. Our Toronto Colo facilities depend on their reliability.
Data Centers Canada Toronto facilities rely on APC as a key partner. Critical component to the colocation services for hosted environments are reliant upon infrastructure from APC such as battery backups, pdu, bypass infrastructure and much more.
As a critical component to the diesel generator infrastructure at the toronto colocation facility and data center, clean fuels are an important part of our green initiative.
